Welcome to my first ever blog, where I hope to connect with fellow classical guitar fans on an array of topics related to this vast subject matter.
You may have already guessed that I hold some affection toward the late great Brazilian guitarist Laurindo Almeida (2 September 1917 – 26 July 1995), after all I have given him his very own page on my website.
However, you may not know that in homage to this Latin legend, I also created my own studio album consisting of Almeida’s unique arrangements – Andrew Scott Plays Laurindo Almeida Available to purchase from the Store
I have the utmost respect and admiration for this wonderful composer and I will be back to add more content on my love of Laurindo Almeida in due course.

Thank you Carolyn! Yes, Laurindo Almeida was a really interesting musician. He was a composer, session musician for movie soundtracks, jazz musician and classical guitarist. Nowadays musicians tend to work in just one field and today`s critics don`t know where to place him. Happy New Year to you and the family xx
